watched #otgw for the first time since it aired so I drew a bunch of fanart, here's Wirt but I'll post everyone else eventually too 🍂 #artpost

illustrations of Wirt, the main character of Over the Garden Wall. He's a lanky white teenager with brown hair and a thin face, wearing a halloween costume of a cape, suspenders and a gnome hat. Various points in the animated miniseries are reinterpreted here, including making a mixtape for his crush Sara, being annoyed by Beatrice the bluebird, and some of his expressions from dialogue that may be a bit spoilery

Did more work for a personal project (that I tend to put back for months), but finished up concept for a vital item to the story: the Grimoire of Goose's Grimm. Even started using, you know, other tools in Clip Studio instead of ignoring them. |D lol

A magical grimoire with a lot of purple/pink tones. A dark purple orb is set in the center of the cover, the spine having a gold adornment with the sides shaped like butterfly wings.

The GFM is up now. With my mom in police custody & on ICE hold despite being in the US for nearly 3 decades, this puts me & my family in a very tough spot If you can, I ask y'all to send some love & support our way to help us fight for our mom's freedom from this unjust system. gofund.me/5506965b6

An image statement featuring my fursona, Choco, with a concerned expression (sticker made by @freddy1565.bsky.social), with a header reading "help us bring back our mom & stay afloat"

The description below reads, "yesterday, my mom was stopped by police, taken to jail, and has an ICE hold placed on her. Me and my family are hoping & praying for her release. She is the breadwinner of our family & we depend on her.

We need financial support to stay on top of bills & to help pay for any legal fees as we fight to bring our mom back home to us.

Here's the link to our GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/5506965b6"

So, after months of having this on the back burner I finished a turn around reference of another OC of mine, Thomas. Not one hundred percent okay with the result seeing as how I started it with a different view of drawing. But I figured finishing it was better than nothing.

Turn around reference image of a pudgy, dark skin teen named Thomas. His hair is medium-longish and wavy, wearing square glasses. Attire consist of a long sleeved shirt, with a suit jacket and tie on top of that. He wears long pants and standard shoes.

So my dumbass stayed up past my usual bedtime to finish work on the image for my firbolg barbarian. |D Various parts I'm still not happy with, but generally okay with how this one came out.

Extremely broad shouldered, bluish-gray skinned musclebound firbolg. Hair is red and in three rows of braids, hair fur and heavy beard a similar color. Around his neck is a wooden necklace with a shield knot symbol, and a red sash is held together with a bronze medal hosting the ailm symbol.

Ended up starting to draw a character for D&D again, going firbolg bear totem barbarian (OG 5e bear totem the one that matters). Got the sketch part done so enjoy a beefy firbolg!

Sketch of a massive firbolg with a heavy beard and part of his head braided. A medallion with a shield knot symbol is around his neck, and a sash is held up with a medal with an ailm symbol.

Screenshotting this to avoid dragging op into furry blsky, but this is something I've been yapping on about in the context of furry art for *years* So much of the space is ouroboros-ing itself - you can massively up your game (even as a mediocre artist like me) by expanding your frame of reference

And you definitely don't want to use a high-powered 532nm green laser, because it can permanently burn and disable digital camera CMOS or CCD sensors. Green light is absorbed at a very high efficiency by these electronic sensors, meaning concentrated beams easily melt or overload the pixel array.
