Yeah I had similar problems, its odd because its sort of consistent with its own rules, but sometimes those rules aren't physically compatible.. or at least its hard to make sense of how.. And esp early on some of the real edge case interactions you will learn once and then instantly forget

In terms of proper indie FPS, I really enjoyed Lunacid & Northern Journey. Great weird FPSs with that early fromsoft mystery vibes. More RPG and exploration than shooty.. ( strangely I didnt like dread delusion)

I mean its practically identical to the original, but with just fancy new gfx and QoL. Its not doing anything new really, but then surprisingly few FPS ever really managed to copy it.. I also really enjoyed Witchfire recently (more shooty, roguelikey, but still some mystery and exploration)

Still enjoying Stalker2, its such a generous game, like in line with Elden ring or Skyrim in just the sheer amount of world you can explore - yet is not necessary to do so. I mean the Alife isn't as good as the OG stalker, but the environments are great.

Ugh getting very tired of the new engagement meta (mostly short form vid) where everything ends with "What do you think?" I genuinely wrote a few paragraphs of response to one, and then realised the poster had never responded to any replies ever. (and was probably spamming the same everywhere)

Getting close to calling a SYNTY amnesty.. Devs using synty assets put their games into special protective bins which will be quietly taken away to be destroyed. Forcing them to use something different from everyone else and saving me from seeing the same damn characters in every indie game ever.

I've finally got around to playing stalker 2 (the original is one of my favourite games) It's great, very similar to the original. I find it strangely cozy The damp dark forests and ruined industry feels like home to me. Im loving plodding about the zone and poking at it's anomalies.
