Summer achievements: Surviving the summer holidays. Also, building a treehouse for the kids. And more recently, digging a pond and (about to) build some ground mounts for solar. I’m excited to get the solar in. Something I’ve been waiting for since - I don’t know when. We will be all but off grid.

It’s so damn hot 🥵 Have activated “cave mode” for the house which is working well. Enough. Curtains drawn. Shutting all the windows on the sunny side of the house is not intuitive but once you liken it to leaving a door open on a cold day it makes sense. All other windows open. Head in freezer. 💯

Finally getting round to watching A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms… and, wow - it’s really good! Bite size episodes, really chill pace. Just quite, sort of, rewarding to watch? A bit like what Andor was to Star Wars; if that’s not too much praise (that might be too much praise). Recommend!

It is insanity that in 2026 the most effective way to click a link in an instagram post is to take a screenshot on a device that uses OCR, add it to your photo library where you will be able to copy/paste it to a browser in order to access it. wtaf. Just support links you twats.

DOOM.css is getting somewhere. Gameplay is pretty much done completely in JavaScript, but the whole rendering is 100% CSS. This map is 768 div's with 3D transforms. Added a nice spectator view as well which is literally just adding a couple of CSS custom properties override for the rendering.
