This one was calling out to me today. Technically, I played it when I was working in the house earlier (casting via Kodi because my stereo and albums are all kept in the garage). I forgot how unbelievably great that last track is. #NowSpinning #CdFriday #Moby

October sounds. This album was released in the spring, but I always associate it with fall, for obvious reasons. M83 - Saturdays = Youth (2008) #NowSpinning #CdCollection #M83

#My9Albums Jumping on this train. Not my top 9, but 9 that got to me in high school and college that definitely had a lasting impact. I suppose mine looks a bit cliche, but I'm OK with that 🙂

This album only gets played in October-- usually closer to Halloween, but I'm kind of fast-tracking things this year. It really irks me that Ryan Gosling gets to make music like this and also look like he does. The universe is unfair. Dead Man's Bones - Dead Man's Bones (2009) #NowSpinning #Vinyl

My preorder of this album is sitting at the record store, but I'm not really in a rush to go after it. I will give it a fair shot, but after streaming through once, I can't help but feel the lead single duped me. Any opinions on the new M83?

I also picked this up last week. When it was released, it was too abrasive for me. Just didn't click. Apparently, I'm ready for it now, because I'm simply in awe of this thing. So weird how our tastes change with time. Low - Hey What (2021) #NowSpinning #VinylSky #MusicSky #Low

Bought this a week ago, and I'm just now sitting down to listen to it properly. (I did stream it a couple of times at work, though.) This was an absolutely terrible week, so the calming waves that are this record are certainly needed. Beck - Ride Lonesome (2026) #NowSpinning #Vinyl #MusicSky #Beck

Went to my local record store to grab the new Beck album today, and they were giving away this stuff. I didn't even know labels did this kind of thing anymore. Feels like we're moving in the right direction on that front. (And moving in the wrong direction on many others.)

This came out during my "Rapidshare" and "Megaupload" era. I remember playing it for the first time in my car and being sure that something was wrong with the MP3s. It sounded too strange, lo-fi, songs just abruptly ending. That confusion evolved into adoration over the years. #NowSpinning #Vinyl

Serious question. To what degree is it acceptable to celebrate records like this? Purchased well before Jesse Lacey's sick indiscretions were publicly known. Is it really possible to "separate the art from the artist"? Not trying to stir the pot-- genuinely curious what people think.

I went to do one of those #Last4Albums posts, and then immediately deleted it. The visual continuity of the photos was atrocious-- that 4x4 grid was difficult to look at. I have standards. So, here's one of them. I'll just keep the others to myself 🙂 The National - High Violet (2010)
