The situation with FurAffinity is pretty amazing. Advertisers threatened their advertising revenue because they considered Plus Sized characters and characters HUGGING to be adult content. So FA said fuck off, and in two days raised their entire yearly funding. Advertisers are so bullshit stupid.

There was another one that was literally putting up fake games in the Play store, where it was footage stolen from an actual game...but then the actual game was just pictures of said game that the ad stole from. This was years ago (nowadays Ads don't work properly as they crash the games)

I'm starting to see an annoying trend. You'll have some article talking about problems with genAI, and then somewhere in it is a line like "It's still useful in some cases, I'm using it for programming". The use for software seems to become an acceptable exception.

It's the one thing where people'll say it's ok to use it for. As far as I am concerned, there's no difference. If you think it's useful for software, then there's nothing stopping you from using it for art, music, writing, etc. If it's a problem and it shouldn't be used, then *no exceptions*.
