"Don't call me silly!" "But I don't mind!" Series 4 - Billy & Charlie the Saddle Tank Engines! I've grown very fond of the Manning Wardle L class lately, and with 2 already in the show it became the natural next loco to "classic-ify" Some of the design thought process below ⤵️

I love it when a #creative person archives their work on the Internet Archive. I began doing it years ago with my stories, and it's enriched my life. Sell your #books. Sell your #music. Sell your art, vids, etc. But also consider future generations. Add your creations to the #InternetArchive.

Dang, I'm sorry that you have to deal with people who won't accept that Trains with Faces won't come back. Despite you said in the past that you weren't satisfied with your previous series, I was wondering if you at least had fun memories when making it?

Remember, fellow artists: it’s okay for your sketchbooks to be messy. That’s kind of the point. It doesn’t have to be fancy like those sketchbook tours on Instagram. Funny thing is I gotta remind myself that sometimes too. lol

Not much, but it's just because what I'm working on is mostly comissions I can't show yet. Last thing that's public is the cover for @giantrobotfm.bsky.social's Gunbuster zine. And in a bit I'll have a whole RPG I illustrated! Looking forward to getting back to personal doodles some day.

I don't why, but this painting feels like something you would see from the album cover in the '80s.

After hearing that Stepney will be in Railway Stories, I thought it would be cool to do edits of how I imagined his side tanks would look since I heard the characters' nameplates were removed due to globalization. 🚂💛🌺 #timsart #thomasthetankegnine #ttte #edit

A side view edit of Stepeny with his decals reads "Southern 655". This edit was inspired by the LB&SCR A1 class loco, W8 Freshwater.

A side-view edit of Stepney with his decals reads "Brighton Works". The LB&SCR A1 class loco, "Stroudley", inspired this edit, and the number B655 was a reference to Stepney's Southern Railway number.

A side-view edit of Stepney with the "LBSC" initials on his side tanks.

My only prayer is that the crew members won't make his side tanks blank, because ever since Rheneas' 2026 die-cast doesn't have anything written on his boiler, I've had a terrible feeling Stepney will get the same treatment. share.google/hAzvEe3O8usY...

I find this stuff fascinating; this is basically the animation world's equivalent of how pixel art games were designed to be played on glass tube TVs. The "imperfections" created in the process of publishing the work are part of the planned end product.
