Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Behind the scenes filming of Branch Line Engines taken in 2020. This was during a time when timing in the studio was becoming troublesome as the cold made the camera fog up and I couldn't see what was being filmed. Strangely this happens only when the camera was switched on. 0103

Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 23/09/2026So tomorrow is @minirailwaytas.bsky.social's 18th anniversary. Sadly I don't have anything planned to celebrate it, but if there's any questions regarding the project or the series in general that you'd like to know more of, please feel free ask. 061
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Progress so far. It's a bit fiddly in parts, but very promising results. The moving backdrop rig needs some adjusting to smooth the running of it. 0175
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 20/09/2026This will be a fun build. I've something similar to this set coming in the post next week so that too will be a fun project to work on. 080
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Thank goodness it's Friday. This week has been my most exhausting one. I swear I couldn't tell if my work hours have started or ended. And since when has a 1/2 hour lunch break turn into a 5min one? I'm not getting enough rest, I think that's what it is. Just hope the weekend gives me just that. 0161
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Still one of the best theme tunes of my childhood. Happy 45th Anniversary Postman Pat. 0195
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Standing in the same spot from 8am till 4pm 5 days a week really doesn't do well for my feet. Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Was having a look at the T&TMRR pics that have been shared and I'm very intrigued by the BTS model set builds. Very inspiring. Out of interest, does anyone know what artificial plants were used for this small set piece to make those bushes? Is it like artificial herb plants or something? 1237

Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 12/09/2026I've seen everyone make replicas of the gauge one models of Thomas, but I'm now wondering - Has anyone ever attempted replicating the close up scale Thomas? 23517
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 09/09/2026New drawing tablet has finally arrived. Thankfully I'm still in the creative groove to continue on where I left off. 180
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 08/09/2026A 2min preview of one of the new episodes. I fondly remember recording my Captain Pinecone lines for this episode last year. But I also remember prepping the scene for the animators. There were so many layers to get imported and layered up, it was unbelievable! www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezbR...youtube.comFriendship Enquiry [2 MINUTE CLIP] | Pablo: Next LevelYouTube video by Pablo Next Level 041
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Don't you hate it when you're trying to keep on track with your current project and that one piece of equipment fails on you just as you were getting back into the groove? In this case it's my drawing tablet. Just means further animation work on MRA will have to wait till Wednesday. Bugger. 193
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 04/09/2026So while work continues on the test episode of the animated series, A new revised version of one of the Series 1 Miniature Railway Adventures stories has been drafted and signed off ready for audiobook recordings. Two more are currently in writing stages. Only this time round I won't be narrating it 181
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 03/09/2026A late birthday present I bought myself. I've been meaning to get one of these for some time to see about practising with painting with an airbrush. Once I get the studio sorted out, I'll make a section dedicated for airbrushing purposes only. 071
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 29/08/2026Well, I'm sure I'll have to mention it sometime. Since 2024, I have stepped down from the role of Tang in Pablo. As the show upgrades, some character voices will need to be upgraded - Tang being one of them. I hope you have enjoyed my role as Tang in the Preschool series and it was a fun experience 191
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 29/08/2026Just finished watching this film again with some friends and my thoughts remain the same as before. It will be interesting if they make another film to finish the series' run, but we'll just have to wait and see. 020

Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Could this be a set piece for Branch Line Engines? Maybe.....Maybe not. This was taken back in 2024. But I have a feeling I might be returning to the project quite soon. Sooner than you think. 0112
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 22/08/2026Found out I was working today and had to cancel a days trip to a steam railway. So tired and was really looking forward to it all week. Whole days plans ruined within a sinple text message. Ugh!!! Was does karma have to strike those who dont deserve it? 050
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 21/08/2026Thomas getting ready for his evening train. I haven't ran the layout since April as new upgrades are required for the layout. Spare models and replacement buildings are also required. But these will follow in due course. For now, new signals are required and some point rodding. 04212
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 20/08/2026TBH I don't mind this new look. It does look impressive and I'm sure kids will love it. The only thing in the trailer that shocked me more than anything was noticing that the F- *ahem* Sir Topham Hatt looks like he has lost a lot of weight. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI2d...youtube.comThomas & Friends: Railway Stories | Really Helpful Engines Trailer | COMING SOON September 17YouTube video by Thomas & Friends 5298
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 15/08/2026I still remember our first meeting like it was yesterday. Though I fondly remember the 3rd weekend where we spent most of the day before the event on wharf going through one of the MRA scripts and noting production notes needed for when filming started and hanging out at the beach that evening. 1102

Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Ugh! Today hasn't been a good day. Just want to chill to ight and hopefully tomorrow will be any better. 041
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Why does a 1/2 hour lunch break feel more like a 15min one. Hardly feels like taking one if they go by so quickly. 170
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 01/08/2026While me and some friends were listening to some old children's TV soundtracks, I had a touch of nostalgia when I mentioned this audiotape I own. Still playable but a little warped on Side 2. As a kid, I always loved it when the Postman Pat bit came on. Did anyone else had this tape growing up? 090
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 26/07/2026The current progress so far. Still a long way to go before I'm satisfied. 0100
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Might have a bit of a play with the layout tonight, just to make sure everything is working alright. Will need to get the signals replaced with new ones I bought during the winter. Some buildings also need new models made too. 083
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 20/07/2026TBH I hadn't a lot planned for my 34th yesterday so I decided to go and enjoy some miniature trains. Also I got the chance to drive this engine afterwards. it may be under a new name and in a different livery, but you might recognise this engine from somewhere from a certain series..... 073

Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 09/07/2026Got two more lengths made, but can't do more as the next batch of sleepers aren't done yet in the creosote bath. Have inquired with TIMCO to see if they dispatch bulk quantities rather than just the x100 limit on slash point screws and washers as I go through quite a lot of them with this project. 120
Michael White @whitehousefilms.bsky.social · 09/07/2026I don't know if it's just the heat or the fact that I'd just finished a Magnum ice cream, but I just had the BEST can of Pepsi MAX ever. Maybe the ice cream improves the taste or that fact that it was the first Pepsi Max I had today that made it taste so good. Who knows. I just love Pepsi MAX 070
