I've been a motion designer for 20 years and Claude's new motion tool definitely has me concerned. Not because it can replace my skillset, but because there are unfortunately clients out there that will see it as an opportunity to cheaply replace genuinely talented people.

So many people seem intent on racing to the bottom. Their argument is always that vibe coding is more efficient... but to what end exactly? We are only a generation away from skillsets dying out because big corpo is plugging the knowledge gap, and the users will have no clue what the code does.

It goes to show that only a few titles are ones I feel like PS5 is the better option (FF7 Revelation for performance, and Control Resonant / Ace Combat 8 because there's no Switch release), but aside from that, all the other games I'm hyped for are on Switch 2, and seem to be running great overall.

A motion designer I follow on Instagram recently posted how they allowed the latest ChatGPT model to have full access to their computer so it could be prompted to do their work for them. This is insane to me, as they are trusting all their private data to Open AI... who are ethically bankrupt!!

It probably was Sonic 1 as it truly introduced me to how vibrant and joyful gaming could be. Bubble Bobble on the C64 is a close runner up as I have a lot of core memories playing 2 player with family.

My Switch 2 is getting so much more use than my PS5. I think the only reason I'm even holding onto the PS5 is because FF7 Revelation is going to run better on it. Once I've experienced that, I can see myself using it as a Blu-ray player and that's about it.
