Yeah, I have many questions too. First of which us, how did such an appallingly bad AI image even make it this far? Maybe Kiwi Drivers need to know what side to drive on?? Or maybe how to park a bus *in* a shelter? Or maybe how overtaking lanes are o lying wide enough for a bike? Or.. #NzHerald #AI

100% agree. Until that happens it is also worth finding a local car hire company. Day rates, yes, but still often reasonably competitive. Here's Cityhop (corporate rate, discounted i believe), vs our local (West AKL). We did occasional hire for years (UK) before buying a car.

Train pulls away as the 18 arrives. Train gets to Glen Eden while I am still at New Lynn.... but, ultimately I am on the same connecting local bus, from the same platform as the 18 arrives at, as I would have been on if I caught the train. #CRL

#CRL service test. Does the E-W line beat the bus when the train has a 15 minute headway gap?I'm headed to Waitematā station when I realise the train is a waaay off. Jump on the 18 at Lower Albert. I'm at Point Chev before the train gets out if the tunnel. 1/n

Weird, cos the correct routes show up when you click on a (non-CRL) station

Weirdly, not in their fixed map, just in the timetabled representation.

Ask them about split systems, retrofit to existing tanks, monobloc, refrigerant. I have just fitted a pump to an electric resistive tank and very pleased with it - programmable, power savings, ease of fitting. (I did buy a tank with suitable connections when replacing 10 years ago, thinking ahead).

PSA for local customers - warning, some stops are being closed or moved with no warning, and in some cases no information provided at closed stops. This also affects school bus routes. (Pic of closed stop, no information provided)

I am sooo looking forward to this. Frequent route = an end to years of watching the 6:45pm local bus drive off just as the train pulls in, leaving an hour to the next one.

Another vote for Benno, for me it is the Boost that suits best. Same length as a regular bike, but the 24" wheels create the space for load lugging while keeping the handling very similar to a regular MTB (unlike the Terns). Absolute joy to ride.

Are you stalking us? First MTL-QBC, now this?! 😅 I did enjoy your Globe piece on Quebec City. We were slumming it in the HI Auberge (ice- inside-inside-the-windows hotel), followed by VIA to TOR (don't ask) and #1 on the 18th. What a great country you live in, hope your journey is not too frozen!
