The way microblogging sites like Twitter, Bluesky, etc., work is terrible for keeping a portfolio/gallery because your art will be on display one moment and gone and forgotten the next. Visibility is ephemeral because these sites reward virality over simply browsing.

People need to realize that 'art isn't content' and that the best way to prove that is to keep gallery sites like FA alive, else it'll all drip away into nonexistence. Techbros don't care about anything like that, they'd rather rewrite history or grind it all into data points on a graph.

FA regardless of your personal feelings, is the core of the fandom and losing it would mean YEARS AND YEARS of art, messages, pages, and memorials for people that have passed, would be gone. We CANNOT allow ourselves to rely simply on sites like bsky, twitter, insta, etc. etc. to be our defaults.
