I'm seeing a lot of people getting very excited over Atelier Karia and the promise that its MC will get fat, and I am too, but I feel its prudent to inform people that Koei Tecmo is also responsible for Atelier Ryza AI Chatbot and the upcoming Atelier Sophie which is described as a 'AI Chatbot RPG'.

Blue Reflection! 18 hours in! It's such a joy to return to this game 🥹 it's so awesome! The graphics look amazing, the lighting creates so many moments that look absolutely beautiful! The soundtrack is nonstop bangers as well, the boss themes always go so crazy 😭 it's been a ton of fun to return to!

like okay i went through the steam store and looked at every koei tecmo musou game with the "online coop" tag. it's dire

- warriors orochi 4 (actual garbage)
- samurai warriors 4 dx (fun but suffers from pretty linear maps)
- dynasty warriors 9 (haven't played myself but heard exactly ZERO good things about it. wdym "open world" musou game)
- samurai warriors 5 (also haven't played this myself but also haven't heard much good about it. soft reboot with much less content afaik)
- pirate warriors 4 (this one's supposed to be actually good from what i hear but getting into an online match is supposedly pretty janky)

All in all, it seems... fine? It's the Dynasty Warriors 3 you remember with a higher polycount and draw distance and it's on UE5 now which means it'll probably run like garbage just because unreal is like that. It's a version of Dynasty Warriors 3 that will be easily accessible on PC.

I have obtained a copy of Hiroyuki Maeda’s perfect catalogue of PC-98 erogē. The earliest title is Koei’s 1983 団地妻の誘惑 (9/30). It ends in 1998 with two games: ぎりぎりパラダイス(1/23) and ラブ・エスカレーター (4/17). However, as pointed out, this does not count dōjin software.

I’d love a deeper Warriors/Empires character creation where physical design matters: Height, weight (lightweight to heavyweight) too heavy to ride. Yeah, they released (or are releasing) a genAI chatbot atelier game, they've invested heavily in AI companies, it's all over the place. Very few larger companies that aren't at least using it, but koei is full speed ahead.

Uncharted Waters 2 is a great game. Liberty or Death was kind of unbalanced and more unwieldy than normal for a Koei game. Romance IV was fantastic.
