if this seems too low to believe consider that per statscan: 36% of sexual assaults that were reported resulted in charges, of which 61% proceeded to court. Once in court, 48% resulted in a guilty verdict, and 50% of these got jail time. so that's 10% of *reported* sexual assaults found guilty.
