Yeah I've had a lot of feelings like this over making comics. For a long time I was basically pulling two full time jobs, and I just don't know if I have it in me anymore haha. Started a webcomic in the optimist phase, continuing on in the despair phase 😂 (I am overall hopeful tho)

I see lots of folks on insta pushing for the algo. Seeing lots of those "comment X to get the link" type of things that artificially boost engagement. And I get the temptation! I just can't help but think about what gets lost and feel a little disheartened at how quick to jump thru hoops we are.
