I never expected flying through the void of space to become boring. But after a human month’s time of passing through darkness and making the minor course corrections to avoid gravitic bodies, it just kinda became so. And yet, I couldn’t help but feel like this is what I was owed, in the most positive way possible. After a lifetime of terror and non-stop looking around the corner for enemies, a boring, routine life was much appreciated. Now, if only Casca were here. I tried to focus on other things to avoid feeling sad about not being with him. The Guardian was a great roommate, quiet, polite, brotherly, but he wasn’t my Casca. Wings, Blue, and Aidden, whose name I still tripped up on now and then, and I took turns helping The Guardian as someones who could listen to him talk about how he was feeling through his heartsickness recovery. In my estimation it was going well. And to give R’Otem-i credit, he never pushed The Guardian away; always made time to spend time with him, trying to find a way to settle into a friendship. But because he knew We were all talking to The Guardian, he opted to talk to L’Amen-a about his own heartsickness and trying to find the right balance.
