One day when we were shooting the film, it was the worst storm I’ve ever seen in L.A. I don’t know if it was recorded as a hurricane, but it was a hurricane-like storm. Only about half the cast and crew made it to the set. It was just a total clusterfuck. And in the midst of this, we’re on the set, and they’re trying to figure out if they can do anything or if they should just send people home. And one of those big metal doors cracks open, and the wind caught it and swung that door open…and it had cracked open because Dolly Parton was pushing on the outside. So it flung her into the room. She comes spinning into the room, and we all rush over to her. Bob Clark rushed up to her, he said, “Dolly! Dolly, I’m so glad you could make it! Are you alright?” She said, “Oh, I’m fine, I’m fine… But isn’t this terrible?
