You can't get a review correct.... But if you could, me and @rpgsite.net would be right.

This new video game aggregator site is hilarious. Not gonna name them or show their site, just gonna post my biggest disagreements on reviews with "players" list and say that we're right and the children are wrong lol. (Reviews are never right or wrong, it's just an opinion)

After having posted that, now I'm worried it's from SMT IV lol. Played them back to back a couple months ago. Guess I should have posted this one:

Someone was crazy enough to trade in a physical copy of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Anniversary Edition. For Switch. Trust me when I say, it found a good home

I haven't started yet but saw @stuartgipp.bsky.social provide some advice for people getting into it. (Pic below) My son is just getting into old school pixel games but he got so frustrated by Mina, I felt bad for him.

If I had to guess, this design seems like Yuji Horii walked into the art department and said "gimme Cloud Strife but with a goth aesthetic"

The Nintendo Game Boy is the most untapped catalogue for game analysis content. I constantly come across Game Boy titles that I've never even heard of, and can find little information about. Look at this enemy sprite design from this 1993 Konami RPG. Try to guess the name!

Maybe everything in the article is true, but I don't think responsible journalism begins with the phrase "revealed by fans"...

Seeing a lot of nostalgia posts, here's my contribution. In the late 80s or early 90s, there was some promo where you send something off to Hasbro to become a real member of GI Joe. They sent this action figure which was supposed to be you, along with a certificate that had a code name and story.

Feels like the feed is always just full of bad (it does suck right now). We all need some sunshine through this cloudy time, time to share some good memories. 🌤️ What was the first video game you remember playing? Mine is Rad Racer. Went to a friend's place and it was the first time I saw a NES.

Now 40 hours into SMT: Strange Journey Redux and about to take on the final boss. Such a great game. Can't get attached to any of the demons though because you're required to continuously fuse them into some stronger versions. But my heart feels a bit of remorse every time, I mean he was my bro...

Dissidia is kinda neat. It's 3v3, you build up "Brave" by defeating little monsters, and then attack the boss when your gauge is full. First team to beat the boss wins the match. You can sabotage the other team by attacking them, no shortage of Gacha with character and ability unlocks. 7/10

Growing up in Ontario, Chuck Norris was pretty well known. I think a lot of it is his connection to Bruce Lee, but he had a lot of action flicks in the 70s and 80s. My grandma had the 1992 movie Sidekicks. I've watched this movie probably 50 times. Unfortunate his legacy is tied to Trump now

My time line is still filled with too much DLSS discourse. My coping mechanism is to play more retro games. I mean, look here at Darius Twin, not only is it beautiful, but it's really fun! Did it review poorly? Apparently Do I still enjoy it? Absolutely!

Any fans of City Hunter in the house? I enjoyed the game enough on its own, but the source material was new to me. Lots of Manga, Anime and feature films though, curious what folks thought of those. Review can be found in this month's issue of Mage Magazine: thethirstymage.com/2026/03/15/m...

Had planned to play some more Secret of Mana last night, but then I accidentally came across Dead Connection and thought to myself, what's this game? What I'm here to say is that I beat Dead Connection from Taito last night. What a great game, highly recommend

Running on very few hours of sleep. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to playthrough King's Knight on NES last night. Only problem is that I had to play it several times because I kept discovering I missed items needed to defeat the final boss. Anyway, screw that dragon, I beat it.

Shinobi 3 doesn't mess around, this is like 15% of the platforming required in the final level. Game is so beautiful, even when it's kicking your ass.

I just played this game lol. I included it in this month's Mage Magazine issue. I enjoyed it. The runs were pretty short and the battles fairly simple. Victory typically came down to inventory management and a little RNG luck. A roguelike before the genre got taken over by the indie scene.

Pro-tip: Start the year off by beating the worst game that you can think of. That way, you get the worst thing you’ve played in 2026 out of the way early on. Nothing I’ll play this year will be any worse than this game (I hope).

Anyone who has beaten Zelda Ii: The Adventure of Link without the use of save states deserves a medal. What an absolutely difficult game. Quite enjoyable with save states but would never attempt a true run lol. Lemme know if you owned this as a tyke.
