A Snippet of Dark Mode Document: A BROKEN REDEEMER, Chapter 1.

A tall man walked in, but he was blurry. I had to squint to make out any details about him. He wore a dark business suit and a pressed white button-down shirt, but no tie. I focused on his face and squinted harder. He had familiar blue eyes and a full head of dark brown hair that framed a pale face with sharp features, which changed the harder I squinted.

I knew him, but I couldn’t recall his name. He walked to me and held out a cloth. My brain said that I should accept nothing from him, but I didn’t understand why. Even being close, I couldn’t see him clearly. My eyes weren’t the problem. It was his aura. It was so dark that it obscured his face and, no matter how much I looked, I wouldn’t see any more details.

I tilted my head and took the cloth as a chair materialized out of thin air. He walked to it and sat as I curled up at the head of the bed and pressed the cloth to my nose.

Elsinore (The one in the coffin off to the left) is wearing a very cute goth dress, and Kalista, the one in the crown, is also wearing a tight faux leather dress with a sweater overtop. The dress is also accentuating her lil baby bump. The tall drink of water is Chaos, wearing her standard plaid pants in red and orange and off the shoulder tee.

“Don’t be nervous. The Dark Angel isn’t the nastiest creature to call the Haven home,” he tried to soothe my worries but only made them worse. I pulled my cape tighter and looked around the large entry. Today, it was bright and the hearth to the far left held a blazing fire.

“I’m not from the sector and everything about the Haven is new to me,” I said as he gestured to the overstuffed furniture near the fire. I walked over, and we sat in armchairs opposite each other. He ran a hand through his short raven hair, and his grass green, almond-shaped eyes, caught the light of the fire. I watched them, noticing that the pupil was a slit instead of a circle.

“Lizard,” my mind whispered, and I shook my head. I sat back, and he tilted his head staring at me a bit too closely. I pulled my bag onto my lap and wished the gun was inside as he locked eyes with me.

I got to watch my friend play for a bit yesterday. I'm not 100% sold on the rogue-like mechanics, but it looks pretty and I like the characters. A lot of the problems though could be solved by a hydrospanner upside the head though. Also sorry about the money situation.
