RIP to the magnificent Stephanie Cole. A sublime and protean talent. The priceless ability to project an icy cold or a beautiful warmth but with infinite depth and nuance. Go well amazing lady x

So sad to hear about Richard O'Sullivan. Such a talent and brilliant as Robin in Man About The House, my favourite sitcom of all time. He did so much more besides, and was a reliably warm and witty presence in everything he turned up in

Sad. One of those actors you grew up with and so likable they felt as familiar as family. Sympathies to best pals George Layton and Robin Askwith who kept us updated on how he was doing over the years. R.I.P Richard O'Sullivan: Man About the House star dies aged 82 share.google/KJAhHNhhrnW3...

Some actors capture an aspect of their historical moment. The combover, the knitwear, the wheedling and fussing - Brian Murphy was the absolute exemplar of a certain kind of postwar masculinity - the salaryman born slightly too early for the Permissive Society. RIP.

I've been doing it again.
The cover of the Radio Times for January 3rd-9rd 1970, the one introducing Jon Pertwee as Doctor Who. However, I've photoshopped so it's announcing Roger Delgado as the Doctor. He's wearing an off-white, cotton suit with a red cravat. I used a picture of Hal Holbrook as Mark Twain for the body.
