I had this complaint about Three Houses too, but I find it constantly distracting that Fortune's Weave has big, prominent, animated portraits, AND big, prominent, well-animated 3D models in the same scenes constantly. I can never pick between looking at the character models or their portraits...

Something I've realized about my taste in games is that I want video games to be SLOW. Give me time to think about it. Make me wait. Turn me loose in a big area and give me all the time in the world to explore, with very little to rush me. Almost all of my favorite games are this way.

Esmerelda's voice really tickles my brain in a way that's hard to describe. She almost has a slight lisp I think? And her tone in her "I learned a lot" level-up line is really distinct. Very charming work by the actor!

#fefwspoilers Wait a minute. This is Into the Woods, isn't it. In Act 1, all the characters have their simple arcs, get their wishes and go home. In Act 2, it's all going to fall apart for a while, until they rally together at the end and realize that they must continue to work for a happy future.

Theodora Part 1 complete, moving on to Dietrich. Without any spoilers, I think this game is really good. The story so far is fantastic, and the presentation is phenomenal. Actually playing the game is a little janky, it's definitely going for something different than the previous few games. Not bad!

Didn't even need to be realistic; the Raiders of the Lost Ark punch effect would have worked. But as is, it felt like she was lightly smushing her hands into her face😭
