So I finished Mario and Luigi Brothership the other day. Overall I really enjoyed it. There’s definitely a few issues with pacing, and the story was just alright. But, I still really enjoyed it. The gameplay is still fun, the characters were funny, and the animation/art style is wonderful.

Kansas City vs Philadelphia again, because everyone wanted to see this matchup again. Sometimes I really hate the NFL.

That had to be one of the stupidest goal line stands ever.

Can someone explain to me the controversy behind Emilia Perez please. I feel so lost when everyone talks about it. Also I didn’t watch many of these movies (I feel like a bad cinephile). If I had to pick, Dune Part 2 was my favorite of the year. Call me basic, but it’s so damn good.

Well the meteor didn’t win so I’ll say this, screw Notre Dame, screw Ohio State, and I’m not ready for college football to be over.

020

therealmclovin.bsky.social @therealmclovin.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Going for a field goal was a bad decision. With how the offense was rolling, I can’t understand going for 3.

020

therealmclovin.bsky.social @therealmclovin.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

The fact that this Ohio State team couldn’t beat Michigan is astounding.

000

therealmclovin.bsky.social @therealmclovin.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Ohio State is a better team. It sucks to say, but at least I get to laugh at Notre Dame.

010

therealmclovin.bsky.social @therealmclovin.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

Besides that first drive, this half was a disaster for the Fighting Irish. Ohio State was just better, and while it’s only a 2 score game, Notre Dane will have to have an incredible second half to get back into this.

000

therealmclovin.bsky.social @therealmclovin.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

These Ohio State receivers are bullying the Irish defense. Honestly, it’s pretty funny seeing their defense get pushed around.

000

therealmclovin.bsky.social @therealmclovin.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

If there’s one thing I can’t stand about football, it’s the incessant amount of commercial breaks. Notre Dame just kicked off the ball after a media timeout, and then we get another one. It ruins the flow of the game.

000

therealmclovin.bsky.social @therealmclovin.bsky.social · 21/01/2025

That’s how you start a game. Notre Dame keeping the Ohio State defense on the field for 9 minutes and 45 seconds is insane. Taking risks paid off, and the Buckeyes need to respond. If anyone’s wondering, I’m rooting for the meteor.

therealmclovin.bsky.social @therealmclovin.bsky.social · 19/01/2025

What a mistake! The trick play came back to bite them. The defense for the Lions, needs a big stop.

Great job by the Commanders, to take this much time off the clock. A touchdown here, would be big.

Grateful that David Lynch’s work is well represented on physical media, with most even available on UHD at this point, and that he was such a champion of and innovator with home video — lack of chapter stops be damned

Okay, I’ve been watching college hockey all night so I wasn’t really paying attention to the Lions, Commanders game. If it’s anything like what I’ve heard about the first half, this is going to be a fun 2nd half. The officiating, not so much.

I personally love the new design. He looks kinda derpy, but I like that. It’s fun, and I appreciate that Nintendo is trying something new with some of their big characters.

Nintendo was like, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. A bigger more powerful switch, backwards compatibility, and a new Mario Kart. The Switch is one of the most successful consoles of all time, and this feels like a natural evolution in the best way possible.

If anyone has played Mario and Luigi Brothership, what’s your overall opinion (no spoilers please)? I’m going through the color-full sea right now, and I’m enjoying it. It’s a bit easy, and the story hasn’t gripped me yet. However, I’m still having a good time. The characters are fun, (cont)

This Notre Dame-Penn State game is crazy. I’m someone who doesn’t like any team left in the CFB. Therefore, I just hope for a good/exciting game.

Musical/comedy? Right, because when I think about a movie where an actress takes a black market substance, to create a younger version of herself in the most gruesome way possible, I think musical/comedy.

SEC fans want you to believe that their conference is so much better. Texas may have won, but just barely. They made so many mistakes, and Arizona State nearly got the win. This is why hypothetical games are bs. ASU was in this game till the end. Congrats on a great season Sun Devils!

It’s horrible that 2025 has to start with the horrific attack in New Orleans. Rest in peace to those who were killed. I wish a speedy recovery to those injured, and my thoughts and prayers. Look after each other today, and stay strong in the face of terror.

The Boss - Gator Days

Panel 1
Stuart is at the front door of August's home. He has brought forms that that need to be filled out before the end of the year. What exactly are these forms for? I don't know. I don't think Stuart knows. No one even knows where they come from.
Stuart: Sorry to bother you at home, big man. I appreciate your help.
August: It's no problem

Panel 2
Gustopher is playing a video game while Mewbert rests next to him. He saw the unfamiliar visitor wants to know what that was all about.
Gustopher: Who was that?
August: My boss. He was dropping off some forms.

Panel 3
Gustopher: YOUR BOSS? But you're bigger than him.
August: Being bigger doesn't mean I'm in charge.
Gustopher is perplexed by this situation. Surely his father, one of the largest individuals he's known, could simply arm wrestle all the others in the office and claim domination.

Panel 4
Gustopher: So he's older?
August: I think I'm a little older.
Gustopher: How do adults decide who is in charge?
August: With money.
The world once again makes less sense. Once he believes he's gained a level of understanding about how the systems of the world works, his view is shattered yet again. This is a trend that will continue through out the rest of Gustopher's life.

Rickey: 14th all-time in WAR. Scored 2295 runs (Freddy Freeman is the active leader with 1298). Walked 2190 times. Stole 1406 bases. Won 1 MVP and deserved at least two more (finished 3rd in '85, lost to his own teammate). 28 HoF voters voted "no" and should've been kicked out of the BBWAA.

This game is pretty much over, barring a miracle. Kevin Jennings throwing those two pick sixes, and third interception have taken away any chance at momentum for this team. The defense can’t stop anything at the moment, and the offense has made so many mistakes. I’m going to go watch the NFL now.

College football discourse is so frustrating. Indiana lost 1 game, before last night. Was their schedule the most difficult, no. But they didn’t lose to two 6-6 teams. Indiana earned their spot. Love them or hate them, they deserved to be there. Alabama did not.
