Potentially hot take, but we need to get used to the idea of paying for social media services. They’re expensive to operate, and they’re only “free” bc they’re usually making money in more sinister ways. BUT the cool thing about the Atmosphere is you get to choose who gets your money, not Bluesky.

First published lexicon for @parksavvy.app: location posts! Keeping it a bit basic for now. Currently, the plan is to launch without media or hashtags. Those features will need a little more consideration, but they will absolutely be added shortly after launch 🚀

To provide some context, each Parksavvy post will have a location, e.g. “Space Mountain”. Problem is, there are several Space Mountains. So we could give each location a unique ID (either in @parksavvy.app’s account or in app) but that’s too centralized. PS becomes the authority for issuing IDs 👎
