The Phillies’ Field of Dreams Game uniforms are based on their 1939 look. The research for this resulted in an accurate set of uniform numbers, which is more difficult to create than you’d think. Uniform numbers were relatively new then, and action photos are hard to come by.

This is cool. A clipping from 1850 about a new newspaper in PA. Publication was delayed because the editor had "two engagements at the same time, one editorial, the other matrimonial." That matrimonial was my great-great-great grandfather marrying my great-great-great grandmother.

From The Sunbury Gazette and Northumberland County Republican on Saturday, Jan. 5, 1850. "The "Clinton Tribune" is the title of a new paper just started at Lock Haven, Clinton county by Adam J. Greer. In politics it is a whig. It is neatly got up and makes a good appearance. The editor excuses himself for the delay in the issue of his first number in consequence of having on hand two engagements at the same time, one editorial, the other matrimonial. Of course the former had to yield to the pressing demands of the latter."
