A Lara standee at Seta Station in Otsu City.

I didn’t think I’d ever been to Shiga before (though I’ve eaten and enjoyed funazushi, which I told Koide-san), but I just remembered that I have been to Lake Biwa once, on the Otsu City side specifically. Very close to the Biwako Terrace ropeway as it turns out, although I don’t remember seeing it.

Anyway, #さよララ滋賀めぐり is the hashtag for people participating in the rally to post their photos, if anyone wants to see more of Lara and company touring Shiga.

From the 5-min pilot of "Redline", directed by Takeshi Koike 7 years before the film's release (and not reused in the film). It's still just as rare to see such long proof-of-concepts produced for Japanese animated films projects. Full video >> www.catsuka.com/player/redli...

This is also the last of the 17 games I (ie, the random number generator) chose ahead of time while the basement was being fixed. Which it is now, but most of my games are still packed up, so…I’ll have to do something about that before next week

This Saturday’s Random Game on Saturday is Metroid Fusion. I probably have the manual somewhere, but I was really bad about keeping the boxes for gba games. #randomgamesaturday

I’m also much more interested in playing fate/extra after this. I wonder if that remake is ever going to actually come out

I thought the LB7 bait-and-switch was very funny, but it was nice to finally see her in the game for real

With only a little more than a week left to go when I finally started I was worried that I was leaving this to the last minute, but I solved that problem by playing through most of it in one sitting. That was a much happier ending than the last Ordeal Call

even though I can say that I used DOS growing up it was really just things like, “how to run the game I want to play” “how to change the drive to where the game I want to play is” “how to open the directory to find the name of the game I want to play” lmao

Plus the games I wanted to play on the family pc at any given point in time were never new/intensive enough that I needed to learn what a graphics card was and why I might need to upgrade one lol

Honestly I didn’t take any kind of deeper interest into computers until the pandemic when I was like “okay lets learn how to build a pc, ain’t a whole lot else going on”. Before that I just had a series of very bad, low-spec laptops, because I didn’t really have any idea what the numbers meant

I really only remember that it had a CD caddy

I wish I had any memory of what the first family pc was. Some flavor of 386 desktop

I don't remember what the exact model was, but we had a Gateway in the taller version of that case that had 3 5.25 drive bays. Also the little Boston Acoustics speakers that came with the subwoofer. Probably the same monitor, though
