Supper Mario Broth @mariobrothblog.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Many games for the GameCube use only a fraction of the storage capacity of the disc. I have analyzed the data to determine what the maximum number of retail Mario games that can fit on a single disc would be, creating the Luigi & Wario + Puzzle + Rhythm Maximum Value Pack.

$A GameCube disc has a storage capacity of 1.46 gigabytes. Many Mario games use only a fraction of that storage. Below is the optimal distribution of the smallest Mario-related games on the system to fit 6 entire retail games on a single disc. Unused space 54 MB Luigi's Mansion 186 MB DDR Mario Mix 264 MB Wario World 257 MB Donkey Konga 2 312 MB Donkey Konga 250 MB Please note that this pie chart is for data visualization only. If the games were in fact put on one disc, the data would be arranged in rings, not in slices. Concept for post based on an idea from a comment by @vinchvolt.bsky.social$

There’s a small group of people who are convinced that Kirby and The World Beyond is secretly the story mode in the new Smash Bros game and its a level of delusion that truly needs to be seen to be believed

Been doing a fair amount of gig work as of late and sometimes I think to myself, golly, imagine if your DoorDash delivery was made by the same guy who made Let's Talk About Cans Without Labels (and a very Special Feature!).

the ride never ends (mario kart ∞)

8 player splitscreen mario kart drawing featuring (left-right, top-down): Dry Bowser, Link, Petey, Toadette, Funky, Isabelle, Inkling, Mii.

What happening: Dry bowser is hit from behind by Link's boomerang. Petey is using a star ahead of Link. Toadette smiles and Mii flies ahead of Isabelle, both behind her. Funky is ahead of Dry Bowser, who is ahead of Petey. Isabelle is knocked from behind by star Petey. Inkling frontrunning, behind her Funky is ahead of Toadette.
Can you guess the race standings from this information?
