Rescued a young/unripe pattypan looking squash from a feeder vine outside the fence of my local community garden. Probably a weird cross with too much cucurbitacins. I like things. I like hobbies. I get internally discouraged when a hobby I'm enjoying is something someone I know is hyperfocusing on because I don't do that? It is overwhelming to me to be driven to know ALL THERE IS TO KNOW about a thing and watching it/seeing it does similar to my brain. Sigh.

Idea: Maybe we shouldn't be treating 7th grade girls volleyball like the Thunderdome? It's not just bad for the parents (who hate each other due to playing time) and culture (watch ESPN for ten seconds), it burns out the kids and makes them worse adults AND athletes. Sports are supposed to be fun!
