Also worth noting that his wording is "let them sign up again" Not unbanning. Not restoring their accounts. Not returning access to their content. All the images affected users have embedded across ao3 are broken. That will take some people HOURS to fix.

He banned someone with NO linked content, NO repeat content, and ONLY used squidge for ao3 embedding (which is also a free to use archive). He is lying to you.

The literal wording is that he's banning anyone who has both a paywalled account of any kind and also a squidge account. I PERSONALLY know a user who did not have ANY repeat content between accounts who got banned with no warning or recourse.

In your own words, people are not allowed to have both a squidge account, and also a completely separate patreon account AT ALL. You are banning your users from making an income off their work. You could have blacklisted patreon/etc linking from the start and avoided alienating your users.

So, my account on squ/idge for image hosting was banned because the owner thinks I was using it to host images I then embedded on patreon. I wasnt. I only ever used that site to host images for sharing on ao3.
