How do I get creators to draw more Miles things? Do I commission you? Who is open and where is your commission sheet? Look at this adorably silly lil guy. Wouldn't you like to draw him?

Long story short: I’m an asylum seeker in France now. I don’t know how long this process will take, but for I still can’t officially work here. So I’m looking for any opportunity to earn money to be able to pay for rent and food. Please, read and share this post ❤️‍🩹 ko-fi.com/illustory

WE NEED HELP
Please, read and share this!
(text version of the pics above)
We are a group of queer artists, and we are in big trouble.
In April 2025, we immigrated to France, seeking a safe place to live and make art.
Our humanitarian visas expired a year ago.
Since then, we have been trying to get legal status in France.
To be able to work, open a bank account, get health insurance and just have some basic human rights.
We spent a whole year fighting for our lives against Strasbourg Prefecture and we lost.

All this time we couldn't properly work, so we were burning our savings.
In August, all three of us were denied a residence permit.
According to the Prefecture, the only option for us To stay legally in France is to become asylum seekers.
About a week ago, we sent out our applications for the asylum.
Now we are looking at another indefinite stretch of time, before we are summoned to Paris for interviews.
It might be two months, three months, half of a year or even more... no one knows for sure.

We had planned for a year without documents max, and now it's been a year and a half already.
No matter how hard we tried to stretch our savings, they have run out.
Currently, we don't have enough money to pay for rent and food in November.
It's hard for me to admit that, but we are in huge trouble, with all our hopes and plans ruined by the French bureaucracy.
We really need your help and every little bit matters, so I came up with some options for how you can support us.

Unpopular Opinion: Make all biographies similar to diary entries with dates heading every portion so that the reader can experience the passage of time. Time is a very important detail when it comes to understanding interactions between people as well as within their world. Don't skim over it.

For #Crowchella, here are Crowley's that I've done in the past (pre-s3), in case you haven't seen them.

Blankets! Little ribbon snakes on Crowleys, and Az has scrollwork and stars

Golden Slumbers - Az and Crowley curled up together on a small chair with a book and wine. Crowleys snake tattoo makes a heart on his chest.

Crowley alone with Azirakettle.. post divorce. Daisies and dandelion hair, Azirakettle sits with an open book about one town stealing another towns bucket, while two more books prop him up from behind. Crowley is in his duckie pyjamas and he has sadly run out of wine. He may have to drink Azi's. A tear is shed.

Song "The Absence of You" by Tim Minchin. Crowley mourning the loss of his Angel. Lyrics read: "Spring has been found hanging round Soho Square, so I take my coffee and newspaper there to bask in the not-warm-enough April sun with the workers who come to eat Pret with no shoes. But the grass to the side of the patch where i'm lying is FLAT with the Absence of You. I don't know what all this is for. If you are not near to me ..and I can't sleep. Sleep is no fun when the unruly sun will reveal the truth; A space in my bed, as cold as the dead, exactly the size and the shape of the Absence of You. And all of this beauty runs over and through me and pools round my shoes.. ..And the puddle it forms, conforms to the shape of the Absence of You.

Who is that mustachioed man? Why, it's welsh actor Ivor Novello in a play called "Murder In Mayfair!" #5. Ivor's life-partner, Bobbie Andrews, who also acted in this play. Ivor tried to get him onto the stage whenever he could. They had an open relationship together until Ivor's death at age 58.

Any creative person can be referred to as an "Artist" now. Musicians don't exist anymore.. they are Artists! Somehow we have become "Visual Artists" who have to clarify what we do. "I create art! You know, with pencils & ink & digi-tablets & paint." Imma drawer! A sketcher! A doodler! 🤪👌
