You know Idol I and #Glory have made me realise that I don't actually hate the hidden identity trope. I hate how most dramas use it. In Glory, the ML genuinely forgot his identity. By the time he remembered, he was already in love, and hilariously his first reaction was: "Oh shit." 🤣 (cont)

Just wanted to note that there is some confusion about the writers claiming that the ML was completely fictional. He was a fictionalized version with a slightly different name. Like calling the great dictator Kitler. And then using the same major events as framework in their story. 🙈

This scene in Would You Marry Me takes men's feminist solidarity back 10-20 years. Why is a random guy pushing aside a doctor MID CPR and telling her to cover up instead of publicly shaming the pervert filming her? No beating him up in secret later does nothing.

What do you mean it's not high brow? 😄 It's funny as heck and follows logic in its plot mechanisms. Yes people be flying everywhere but at least their motives are consistent and you're not trying to strangle characters through screen out of frustration! I call that high art.

So I finally watched both Squid Games cause I wanted to understand the context of a scene in S2. And director Hwang Dong-hyuk wasn't lying, was he? He really did do season 2 for the monies (and rightfully so). But that left us with such a sad imitation of S1. 🙈 #kdrama #netflix
