I was lucky enough to get un-waitlisted for a ticket to #Wikimania2026 in Paris (which has been amazing, first time attending in person) and I am delightfully surprised with how much of my French is returning despite not speaking it in... 10 years. The only other time I have visited Paris or France.

Got to finish 'Queer Georgians' by Dr Anthony Delaney on my flight - such a beautiful book detailing dedicated dives into various archives to lovingly +.authentically curate a collection of queer histories. Many revisited, dispelling misconceptions from previously held interpretations.

Public transport Waterford to Limerick 🚂 = one service a day there and one back. ONE. Had to travel yesterday for because the 7.20am was my only option and I needed to be there for 9am for work. The bus would have had me arriving... eventually. In my exp, later than stated.

A lovely lady (in her 70s) sat next to me on the bus transfer from Heuston to Athy today. We were both really annoyed about the entire ordeal. She excused herself in advance for any coughing, reassuring me she didn't have COVID, she was recovering from esophageal cancer. We chatted on and off. 1/3
