There are lot of people with little real understanding of character design and big opinions😅 I do think taking the concept of a character and seeing what you'd personally do with that IS a fun exercise and it would be healthier and kinder to approach it that way than a fix-it redesign.

Honestly I wanted to. Generally you don't get spiders inside if you keep up with all your pest control stuff unless you live out in the bush haha. At the time the house next door was being built so creepy crawlies would move in, then be scared off by the builders and often made their way here.

I think people think that art taking a long time to learn means like a month or maybe a year and not an ever expanding process that progresses with you the entirety of your time drawing. You don't "finish" getting good at art because that's not the freaking point.

The pro of pet speech buttons is that they are very cute, and very a very engaging activity to do with them. The downside is that when my cat asks for something and I say "no" or "later" I have, myself, chosen to given her the ability to demand it "NOW" and my god she is a sassy bitch.
