If tix went through the venue, sharing the list needs to be negotiated. You BOTH promoted the show! However you feel about auto-email sign-ups, they are pretty common and I promise you that the venue is 100% adding YOUR show's guest list to their email blast for their other shows.

20-40% of my audience each month are return guests. They come back and bring NEW friends! It’s just too valuable to not collect emails to invite them back. That’s also how you’re going to sell them a ticket to a DIFFERENT show you produce one day or when you record your hour.

Eventbrite doesn’t give you zip codes, but it does give you city/state. So I do manually look up and add in all out-of-town zip codes, and use a generic one for the main city (e.g. 10003 for all New York City emails). Delete unnecessary columns. Copy/Paste into your email platform of choice! Boom!💥

So, I download the attendee file after each show. Not order list, but attendee list. I require that each ticket has its own name/email address on it. Often times, someone buys four tickets all under their name. But some people will put each guest's name in…and that’s potentially extra emails.

So I have a mandatory ‘question’ set up at purchase with a drop-down menu of ways that brought you to us that night. A flyer, the venue, FetLife, one of the comedians on the line-up, Time Out New York, return guest…you can’t buy a ticket without picking something.

5. Survey It is so valuable to know where people found the show from. Tracking links on Eventbrite are not the most reliable since if you tap the link on mobile and it opens the app, it won’t track any *purchases* made from that tracking link — just views. It's a whole thing.

This is valuable b/c for example, this month I could have made an extra $700-1000 but for an extra $20-30 in marketing 💸 an extra bottle of cheap wine 💸 a paid employee instead of a volunteer 💸 comics getting the max pay rate 💸 It’s nice to see, “Oh, I only made that?” and understanding why.

With a $40-50 price point, I have space to make offers that actually work. I cross-check Eventbrite to know how many tickets each individual show did, my overall revenue, and calculate the average ticket price I got. Then I get to check that ‘profit’ cell to see what I made.

4. Revenue I typically do two shows in a night on each date. So I have different ticket types: 7pm vs 9pm vs Both Shows; pre-sale vs general admission vs day-of prices; two-for-one offers; and comps or discounted upgrades. I note all of that and my overall headcount.

3. Budget I’m finalizing all the expenses for Meta ads, poster printing, venue rental, my security guy, a community bottle of whiskey, etc. What did this night cost me? I do this before I start counting my riches. This is all on the same spreadsheet as revenue, survey responses, and notes, for me.

Quittr vulnerabilities exposed the masturbation habits as well as private confessional diaries of 600,000 users, including 100,000 MINORS. And didn't fix the problem despite being made aware of it more than six months ago. It's almost as if it weren't a treatment app, but a surveillance app.

Congressional Republicans have introduced a bill that strips federal funding from any school that allows any book or resources that so much as references trans existence. They're doing it by redefining anything trans as "sexually oriented material." marymiller.house.gov/media/press-...

Persona is the same verification service that X requires you to use to report impersonation accounts. Sex workers are some of the biggest targets for impersonation and scam accounts. So we have to hand our biometric and legal data over to Musk and Thiel in order to protect our IP. This so so unsafe.
