some creatures you might find in the woods.

Two panels; top is of some glowing sprite type creatures huddled together in the grass and the second is a big black serpentine creature with blank yellow eyes moving slowly through the forest.

Meh. The networks didn’t show any solidarity when their female colleagues were routinely humiliated and berated by Trump. They only ban together when their advertising revenue is compromised. There’s no honor or integrity in legacy media.

I dont know how many times I’ve watched this and laughed myself into cramps. James Spader rambling incoherently as his character from the Office would make this an actually watchable movie by default.

TOUCH OF WONDER (2024) Acrylic on Paper - 12” x 7”

In a recent attempt to clean up my studio, I found a color study of crystals done for RHYTHM OF WAR. 1/2

A figure dives out of a spaceship angling down over a massive cubic crystal formation. His tether loops as if free of gravity. In the upper left, a moon hangs against dark sky. The scene is illuminated by the glow of the yellow-orange crystals. Lower in the formation colors shift to pink and then purple with the cubes varying greatly in size.

A consistent pitch by the makers of ai wearables is that they solve the problem of getting to know your child. www.businessinsider.com/parents-brea...

Molly, who runs a startup to help parents book activities for kids, is willing to use AI for logistics, like meal planning or sorting through her email to surface the most important messages from their daughter's school. Sean, who works in tech sales, wants to go further. He has his eyes on Omi necklace, an AI wearable that listens in on your day and includes a feature called Parent Whisperer. It records and analyzes interactions between parent and child, logging things like school assignments and supplies to order. The device also picks up on tone, alerting parents when their kid may be unhappy — registering everything from "from toddler tantrums to teenage mood swings," per its ad copy — and offering "expert-backed guidance" on how to respond.

Black kinfolk: Never forget to leave room for whimsy whether it be in your day to day life or even work. Joy is resistance. Resistance is joy. Both go hand in hand. Authoritarian structures work hard to deny u both, ergo u must quintuple your efforts when you find them & spread them to others too!

power 7 for 1 minute means it cycles on and off to be on for only 70% of one minute, or 42 seconds, not 70% of the microwave emitters on for a full minute. I think about it every time I use anything but high (aka power 10 aka 100%)

I had a little library in my closet when I was a kid (when I’d actually clean it) a row of ghostbusters books, a VERY thick hardcover wizard of Oz, some old old Winnie the Pooh books, a few of my moms Agatha Christie’s, and James Clavelle’s SHOGUN, all of which was read before I turned 10.

PASSAGE: VERGE (1989)
Acrylic on Canvas - 48" X 36"

There are other, more metaphysical meanings to be derived from this painting, but at the time I was doing it I had decided to "step off the brink," professionally speaking. 1/2 #art

A mysterious woman, hooded in windswept robes, stops at the edge of a rocky outcrop. With palm up, she holds out her hand, and above it floats a transparent sphere containing a solitary flame. At the edge of the cliff, she stands framed by a tall arch in the distance. A circle—an echo set above the vessel she holds—sits high in the arch. Anchored by elegantly curving supports, it suggests something mystical as if it may not exist physically in this world but rather serve as a portal to the next. Behind, blue skies fade to a peach streak across the horizon and the misty hills rolling below. She seems poised to step out into open air but she turns her head back, partially revealing her face. Her thoughts linger on where the next step will lead. Will it be over the edge and down? Or does this passage lead to someplace else?

The one thing about this app that I still love is its blocking functionality. Its a great way to protect your own peace when you need it. You are not obligated to listen or subject yourself to anyone or anything unless you choose to and more people genuinely need to make use of it as a filter.
