Everyone saying she and others would move here I think don’t understand how current twitter users see this platform. Most people active there won’t bother following her here and she knows that (I say this as someone who would rather no one use twitter)

“When Liu, 20, decided to return to skating, she did so with conditions. She’d wear what she wants. Dance to the music she wants. Eat what she wants. Take breaks when she wants…. [Skating] would be the vehicle through which she displayed the real Alysa.” she did it! her! way!!

Alysa Liu’s Olympic run came with terms. Her choreographer helps her express them

Liu is the best U.S. hope for an Olympic medal in women's figure skating, which would be the country's first in the competition since 2006.

To be very clear, that lady in the NYT article is not making any money with her hundreds of AI slop books. She makes money by *convincing people* she makes money that way and getting them to pay her to teach them how to do it. It's an evolved MLM, and the NYT is helping market it.

Okay troublemakers, punks, antifa supervillains, and anyone who just enjoys being a petty little shitbird while they fuck up the algorithm of a massive media corp. Here's your assignment for the weekend. Get on it and spread the word.

Get in. We're messing up Melania's Amazon search results.
This weekend, Amazon is premiering it's $40 million Melania Trump documentary. It already seems to be a flop.
But we're going to take it one step further by messing up Melania's Amazon search results. Specifically, we're going to amplify the paranormal erotic thriller, Melania: Devourer of Men so it ranks higher than her movie.
The book is perfect: it's absurd, the cover is ridiculous, and it's free, so we're not giving Amazon any money.
We need people to:
1. "buy" the book (it's free)
2. Share this post and get other people to buy the book.
That's it. Then we can celebrate as an erotic novel about a bat monster Melania Trump becomes a higher and higher search result on Amazon.

Exactly. No one told me I was going to lose my job and be left behind if I didn't get a smartphone. I got a smartphone because it looked like it did a lot of useful things (and it does). If the tech is good, you don't need to threaten people to get them to use it.

The most annoying trend in Photography is clients asking for RAW files. When you tell them that there is a difference between RAWs and unedited photo files they tell you 'they know, but they want the RAWs". So you give them the RAWs and then they complain that they can't open them

A+, teachers!

some right wing asshole on X: MINNEAPOLIS SIGNAL INFILTRATED

The protestors use a "mutual aid" system. I tried to join the mutual aid that for Bloomington.
An admin told me that it was a vetted chat for teachers and that l'd need to describe my relationship to a school. And give my real name.
I couldn't do that so l never made it in.
Why are there teachers aiding in this effort?!?!

Just booked my highest paid photography job to date, which means I’ll be getting to shot at a film studio until the middle of February Not a film job per say, but it feels like a good omen for the rest of the year

Like it should be at least 1 bed/person. But apparently they’re ‘vetting’ people

✨Kristen✨ @thatnerdgurl.bsky.social · 21/01/2026

Am I the only one who thinks that if you’re hiring staff to run a booth for you at a convention, a perk shouldn’t be ‘you’ll get a hotel room but you’ll have to sleep two to a bed with people you don’t know’

Watched some interviews she did and she doesn't think she did anything wrong, blames it all on Jamison or the people who are 'offended'

100

✨Kristen✨ @thatnerdgurl.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

Dont get me wrong, this would obviously too resource intensive for it to be practical (unless there was money already involved) but I feel like it might be a fun challenge, especially considering it feels like there's no one making fantasy genre shorts any more outside of maybe 1 for all

✨Kristen✨ @thatnerdgurl.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

TTRPG AP concept that I ranodmly thought of: A pre recorded TTRPG AP that has a live action film adaptation counterpart (each session gets a live action short film that basiclly condenses the session into a film)

Would not be suprised if we saw her trying to come back into the space as early as this summer

110

✨Kristen✨ @thatnerdgurl.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

It's a 6 person trip in Denver so nothing crazy like the cruise but still... to use the same branding as before struck me as weird. She also made a post on FB today that was basiclly about how greatful she was for TTRPGs with a slide show of a bunch of photos, many with the old g&s gang.

✨Kristen✨ @thatnerdgurl.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

They're bad, cant reccomend lol

000

✨Kristen✨ @thatnerdgurl.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

Well unless shes changed her opinion since the interviews shes done this summer, she's just kind of deflecting

100

✨Kristen✨ @thatnerdgurl.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

Ah yah it's 6 people only this time around. So not a cruise level event lol

010

✨Kristen✨ @thatnerdgurl.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

Been going down a bit of a rabbit hole with her recently and she did TWO podcasts over the summer about how she was 'cancelled' lol.

010

✨Kristen✨ @thatnerdgurl.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

I mean I feel like it's got to be wayyy smaller this time around considering the only way she's getting people interested is by posting on her FB page (which averages a handful of comments and likes) and getting them to DM her if they want more info

Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.
