As a fan of Masterchef (and Anna and Grace were superb new presenters this year), I still find it genuinely offensive that this already-cancelled toad gets to feature. Finish the cleansing process and chuck this reprobate out on his ear.

Do any of the Brentford players NOT have a huge throw?!

Not necessarily posh, but a Korean restaurant in Manchester. Order. Attempt to eat using chopsticks. After five minutes of utter incompetence, a waiter silently walks up to the table, puts a knife and fork on it, and walks off.

I refuse to believe Bruno Fernandes is Portuguese. Argentine all day long. Same plot armour as Lisandro and Romero, despite being outwardly a complete dickhead and absolutely unconcerned who knows about it.

I cannot imagine Bardella twerking for Reform is going to play well for his French audience, surely?

The core BBC bias is one against understanding. It’s not that Chris Mason is a Reform plant, it’s that the whole organisation has decided that explaining things is BORING and policy is DULL and everything drifts down from that.

I have never disliked an England player as much as Ollie Robinson. Send offs to Pakistani batters when he's bowling on a pitch tailor made for him when the series is already won. I'll never forget him backing away from the Aussies down under. He's a toad.

Tim Curry's Home Alone 2 is about a concierge who's assaulted by two ever-neglectful parents for trying to stop their child's credit card fraud.

RIP Tim Curry, a person I feel very positive about despite the fact he haunted my childhood nightmares not only from Legend, but also IT. Born near Warrington, I find out today.

Enjoyed this. It is really difficult to convey just how big a star Russ Abbot was in the UK in the 80s. My grandparents were besotted with him. I remember in adulthood being sincerely confused that he wasn't well known worldwide.

When you've developed a long career watching football, you realise when you need to be selective. Life's too short to watch the 'Community Shield', any England qualifier, or the EFL Trophy.

RIP Franco Baresi! Called 'iconic' today and rightfully so - particularly impressive given how unassuming and normal he looked. Football Cliches have a running joke about people describing things as the 'Rolls Royce' of their category - Baresi really was the Rolls Royce of central defenders.

I don’t think you get to make the call on what’s “harmless banter” from a man who goes round secretly filming people and acting like this, BBC News www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Okay one more odyssey post. Really loved the movie. But I for one am willing to stop rescuing Matt Damon. At some point we’re just going to have to collectively agree that if Matt Damon gets lost again we just have to let him go.

Would you rather have a guaranteed naan or flip a coin for a 50/50 shot at one million baguettes

Jimmy @thatcareersguy.bsky.social · 24/07/2026
As ever, there's nuance. I suspect I could throw the baguette further but in the populace at large, someone's going to have the right technique (that I lack) to discus that naan absolute miles.

BBC Sport is a shadow of its former self but they never miss with a montage. The 2014 with Woodkid is the greatest though.

I'm not nationalist in any way, quite chilled about England losing at anything - I was chortling away at the Stokes idiocy a week or so back - but right now I wouldn't even let Barco, Romero or Lisandro Martinez back in the country. Seriously. They should be pelted at every PL game next season.

RIP to the incomparable Sam Neill
How long has it been since you've seen the original "Jurassic Park"?

SAM NEILL The last time I watched it in its totality was sitting beside Princess Di at Leicester Square at the London opening.
On the other side of me was my son Tim - he was 11 and completely swept away by it, but about the time the T-Rex turns up, Tim started to fart. And the draft was drifting across me to royalty! I spent the whole film in a muck sweat, thinking, "Princess Di is being exposed to the horrors of a little boy's fart, but she's going to think it's me. I am going to be subliminally blamed for my son's crimes, and I don't think she'll talk to me afterwards." But she was well brought up and never mentioned it.
JEFF GOLDBLUM I love that story, Sam.
I've heard him tell that a couple of times, and it's just amazing the lengths that he will go to still blame the boy.
