Beep boop, I'm ditching digital note taking solutions and returning to "analog" solutions. You heard that right, I'm re-entering my bullet journal journey. I took up some time to write up why I'm switching back after 6 years. Read it here: blog.crowcollective.space/read #blog #bulletjournal

TIL that the City of Regina installed anti-homeless architecture at a spot that I used to sit and stall time when I didnt feel safe going home as a kid in an abusive home. fuck that shit. our houseless relatives are our friends, family, and lovers. not fucking pests to be removed from site.

Or how I learnt to embrace quiet intimacy in photography. So it's pride month again, eh? As has been tradition for the last couple years...

I’ve been working on using wider lenses and deeper focal lengths in my street photography. This is one of my favorite of those experiments so far Canon PowerShot SX40hs (chdk mod), 35mm (equiv) @ f8 #streetphotography #photography

A monochrome street photography image.

A young woman with a foam musta he gives a peace sign to the camera in the midground and center of the frame. In the bottom left can be seen a number of people enjoying the afternoons street delights. On the bottom right a man with a hat that darkly shades his face looks directly at the camera, unsure of its presence.

Got in an uber with pals, and the driver has dope hip hop beats playing. As we get in he turns down the radio. Me: “ah man I was digging that! Was that 2pac?” Him: *smiles and wordlessly turns the music back up*

Extremely disappointing to see how many queer orgs and groups are still using Sticker Mule for their Pride giveaway swag, and how many try to justify it because it's the cheapest option.

Man between rewatching Doctor Who 2023’s “73 Yards” and TDAC Finale, I’ve been really in my feelings about being kicked out as a teenager by my adoptive mum with nowhere to go. I’m glad I built up my life to one filled with compassion and drive. I took that experience and learnt to be kinder.

Wanna help a #disabled #trans #queer metis woman thrive and survive by getting art mailed to your door once a month? Join Zine Club! $5/month minimum donation, and you get a hand cut and folded pocket zine directly to your door! blog.crowcollective.space/photography/... #photography #mutualaid

A colourful photo of a number of zines entitled "Prideful People" in front of a portrait of a box-head cosplay.

The cover of a street photography zine entitled "Street Visions". It shows a layer photograph of a woman smoking a cigarette - partially obscured by a building exit - while two men in suits walk away from the subject. The image is cut in three segments by a car passing by in the mid-ground.

A black and white photo of a number of pocket zines placed in front of paper scraps and behind an AirPods case (for scale)

I got the lovely chance to help someone on their way towards removing ai from their graphics workflow! after an hour and a bit conversation, it really came down to just *not knowing where to look*. Turns out, showing someone a couple free tools and what to search can be all it takes to stop AI use.

so fun fact about me: I am *obsessed* with small portable solutions to common problems. As such. I am in love with my Canon Selphy 1500. Are the prints the most amazing? No. Can I make a photography booth in a 3ft square footprint? Fuck yeah. Now I just need a second one to reduce print times.

A monochrome image of a wide shouldered white man with wearing a black shirt with a skull on it. His hands sit in his lap casually. His forehead is obscured by a large snake coiled around his head, basking in the blooming sun.
