Interviewer: I read that you do not want to embrace Al.
Kane: Absolutely not.
For me the whole point of doing what I'm doing-art is a way of processing life. I don't see the value in outsourcing any element of that.
When I'm looking at someone else's project, if I see an element of the environment [where] they use generative fill or whatever to change something about the scene, it just shuts off the part of my brain that wants to know more about that world. Because I would assume if they're willing to make an arbitrary choice there, they could make an arbitrary choice with literally anything.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:wk7ktvs3sld47pgfndy43gyp/bafkreid3oivudz5p3kmcuu6ss3gr2tmy73r3uqe3ljh6h5rxbeax2dcme4)

A photo of Aphelion, with his eyes centered on a moth. Aphelion is a pale skinned, androgynous archfae with merlot hair and lavender streaks and tips. The leftmost eye is a violet, and the right is a celestial blue. His fingers end in dark-colored talons, and he is often wearing a black set of travelers clothing, with a dark cape and a celestial blue sash. Silver chains drape his form, and a necklace hangs from his neck. It holds five stones in red, blue, and yellow-- representing three of the druidic elements of fire, water, and earth. He's looking at a bioluminescent moth, holding blue roses and lighting up the photo. The moons on its' wings shine a brilliant hue, and the glow of them seems to be leading a way forward through the dark background. Summarizing the relationship he has with his moths, and how much they aid him in navigating his adventures with them. 'Schedule' is at the top center. The twitch symbol is in the upper left indicating this is a twitch stream schedule. The Artist, credited in the lower left is Kiyo Miya! To the right of the image, the schedule itself follows.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:l3jlgvtyanv53xvt7w23g3hi/bafkreib2fmbykkutmsxmwjw5eioe3ucdtexcthbizgc3urwn347fjcp7im)
