FYI, from Toocheke. They added a Tapas migration feature.

A screenshot of an email that says

Import Your Tapas.io Comics Into WordPress
You may have seen the news about Tapas shutting down. If you or anyone you know publish there, you’re probably wondering what happens to all of your comics and years of work.

We’ve just added a new import feature to Toocheke Companion (available in version 2.23+) that can move an entire Tapas series into WordPress for you — including episodes, images, thumbnails, and original publish dates.

It keeps everything in order, so you don’t have to manually copy and paste hundreds of pages.

For those rightfully concerned by this new feature, it's being rolled out slowly. Keep an eye out on your end, and when it's available for you, look at the bottom of the page. Smack that "Turn Off" button as hard as you can. Let Twitch and Amazon know these features are invasive and unwanted!

If you think "i'm clever, I can help portray the fandom in a positive light!" You are exactly the sucker they're looking for. This will be tawdry and exploitative. DO NOT LET THEM USE YOU OR YOUR VIDEOS It's been a long time since the Vanity Fair article and the CSI episode. This'll be worse.

Heads up, if twitch is using personal info like this on behalf of amazon's AI modeling, it's probably to take personal info primarily from chatters, not streamers. Please make sure you disable that new Gen AI training option on your twitch account. It's defaulted to 'on' and that's creepy as hell

So apparently Discord "opted in" (heh) every single discord server into DomoAI, which is an image scraper that trains itself off of anything and everything you upload. It's hidden, but still had a user:ID, which people have discovered and are using to ban it from their servers.

A screenshot explaining DomoAI's user Id number and what it does.

A screenshot example of DomoAI being banned.

With everything I've said today I still want to make one thing pretty abundantly clear: Twitch sucks ass, we all know that. Your streamers don't, though, and they also hate Twitch, and they want to make their living in a way that's harder than it ever has been rn. Still support them, if you can.
