Today, let's talk about the Flesh-Eater Courts of Age Sigmar, hegemony, and satire in Warhammer. This text is based on my withdrawn presentation at this weekend's Warhammer Conference. || The Madness of King Ushoran: Hegemonic belief in Flesh-Eater Courts

The Madness of King Ushoran: Hegemonic belief in Flesh-Eater Courts

One of the things I find most fascinating about various Warhammer armies is the evolution they go through over the years. Not all ideas…

We'd all be a lot better off if liberals learned to differentiate between the fear of fascism taking over the US and the fear of US fascism coming for them, personally.

Did you know that I'm the lead writer on the new ALIEN RPG cinematic adventure 'Operation Leading Edge'? Free League are taking preorders now and it's due for release in Q4 of this year. This is the second adventure I've co-written, the first being 'Rapture Protocol' 2 years ago. It's in the pipe.

Hey I'm not actually done talking about Dolly Parton. 🧵 Specifically I want to talk about her album 9 to 5 and Odd Jobs, released in 1980 (not the soundtrack to the film 9 to 5, that's a different thing). The whole album is about work, with most of the songs focused on a different type of worker.

Is this a cogfort/40k knight/necomunda transport? Idk sometimes you just make things and see what happens. #necromunda #warhammer #40k #warhammercommunity #nerdling

A conglomerate of AoS cogfort, necromunda terrain and 40K bits to make a 4 legged walking platform with a flamethrower and a smokestacks. Facing forward with a mini on the platform for scale.

What if I built, painted, and played necromunda? #warhammer #necromunda

Three converted and painted necromunda minis. The mini in the middle is a pretty woman in a yellow dress with mechanical bits and bobs, a servo skull and a space cat. To her right and left she is flanked by two soldiers.

Finally reading the Hollow King (black library) and discovered a bunch of free audio books so I’m also listening to Red Harvest (Star Wars) which I’ve meant to read for years. Guess I really like books with undead things in them.

Agent Smith talking to Neo during their fight in the downpour from Matrix Revolutions
Smith:

Why, why? Why do you do it?
Why, why get up?
Why keep fighting? Do you believe you're fighting... for something?
For more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is?
Do you even know?
Is it freedom? Or truth? Perhaps peace? Could it be for love?
Only a human mind could invent something as
insipid as love. You must be able to see it, Mr. Anderson.
You must know it by now.
You can't win. It's pointless to keep fighting. Why, Mr.
Anderson? Why?
Why do you persist?

Neo:
Because I choose to.

I learned today that because of a scheduler, myself and another trans woman who had 2 fight 4 our own surgeries w/ insurance, we changed some hearts and minds over the importance of gender affirming surgeries for some folks and that’s pretty cool. Fighting for ur rights can create change for others.
