WANNA KNOW SOMETHING NEAT? (I’m sorry I’m telling you even if you didn’t 🫣) Ginko trees can change sex in individual branches, on a whim! Often they would plant male ginko for ornamental purposes because female fruits can be messy and stinky. Only to later find ginkos do what they want

Gingko tree, casually just continuing their hundreds of millions of years old legacy along the sidewalk of a busy city street. Look at all its fruit!! (Or nuts, I suppose? Seed carrying cases, lol.) Anyway, rock on, you champion of the epochs.

Qingshan Lake Water Forest in Lin'an District, Hangzhou is a viral attraction sometimes called "Matcha Lake" for the emerald green duckweed (subfamily Lemnoideae). These black swans (Cygnus atratus) & their cygnets are enjoying a nutritious buffet of aquatic plants. Let's learn about duckweed.

I'm probably going to get muted or blocked for this, but as a fellow science communicator, using AI-generated imagery/text is really a bad look all around. It not only steals from your fellow scientists because it's all trained on stolen data, it also makes up fake science.

A player found a bug in the periodic table in Agent Higgs 2 -- which made me take a closer look at it. I had left it very minimally drawn, because (a) it's small (b) not critical, and (c) drawing a periodic table sounded like a lot of tedious work. But that made it hard to debug, and not pretty.
Cartoony image of the top of a couple manila folders, labeled Gadolinium and Proton on the tabs. On the paper in the folder is a periodic table, labeled Element #64, the table is all blank blue squares, save one lighter blue square. Under the text says: I didn't know our lab was large enough to synthesize this nucleus!

It's unclear why that region is different.
