So so so angry right now that Google has fully phased out Assistant in favor of Gemini. Tech companies apparently love taking shit that wasn't broken and breaking it, just for funsies.

We're already up to $5 donated to the PCRF per entrant! That number is only gonna go up! You can help get medical supplies and treatment to kids who need it most by entering this free P+/RoA/RoA2/NSCON4/NASB2/DRA netplay tournament! This is fucking awesome! start.gg/wombatwednes...

An edit of Macklemore's Thrift Shop album cover. Macklemore's head is replaced with a wombat's, and everyone else's heads are replaced with various characters from the six games in the lineup.

Is there an album that sounds like (and is of comparable quality to) Vistoron? Its synthesis of accessible synthpop hooks, angular electro-industrial production, and epic orchestral elements make it truly one-of-a-kind, even in Hirasawa's expansive catalog. One of my most listened-to albums ever.

I think one of the reasons I'm a summer person is that, to me, being hot and cooling down feels "ahh, relaxing;" but being cold and heating up feels "this is only a temporary and fleeting solace against an impossible threat, here I am safe but there is death in the cruel air"

Is the way that Donald Fagen says "I know I love you better" in Peg a meme on some r/okbuddy rock music subreddit, or did I somehow make that up

Grah I fucking love short stories, I love when an author is able to convey a strong idea tersely and concisely, I love when authors are able to explore ideas, themes, and voices that wouldn't be served better by a hundred of pages of depth than by ten

Newgen PSB hate is so fake. They're still two of the best pop-structure songwriters in the world. People just hate on them now because their music sounds to "modern." Newsflash. Their music sounded "modern" in the '80s, too, for the time; you just weren't there for that.

How do you articulate your feelings about a novel where practically nothing happens? Evidently...

My new favorite hobby is not playing a video game because "it'll get a higher quality rerelease later down the line," then it does, and I'm like "fuck yes," and then I don't play that, either

Silksong was too hard so I replayed the original HK. 112% in just over 17 hours. Idk if I'm going to play the final pantheon again, since it's so long and doesn't count towards completion, but either way it's been nice to remind myself why this has very gradually become one of my favorite games.

Screenshot of two Hollow Knight save files. The first reads 112% completion, in 17H 14M. The second also reads 112% completion, in 46H 11M.

Today is my 29th birthday. Lots of ambivalence about the fact that this time next year I will be 30. It feels like a big step that I am massively underprepared for. But I am blessed to be surrounded by loved ones who ease the burden. Oh, and they got me some pretty nest books.

A row of books containing: The Last Ronin, Borges' Coloected Fictions, The Metamorphosis and Other Stories, The Music of Chance, Leviathan, The Cloven Viscount, The Baron in the Trees, The Nonexistent Knight, The Black Dahlia, The Big Nowhere, L.A. Confidential, End of the World and Hard-Boiled Wonderland, after the quake, Billy Bat Vol. 1
