I keep windows quarantined on a gaming laptop for the few games I play that deliberately block linux and I loathe every moment I'm forced to interface with it I'd rather game on a Macbook if more than 3 developers would port their games to it

my HOTAS didn't work (correctly) on linux at first, so I did some digging and was able to fix it myself if I bought a HOTAS for a console and it just didn't work for some arbitrary reason I'd just be SOL short of trying to return it where I bought it

I saw more than one person arguing that if a game runs bad on console they can just blame the developers but if a game runs bad on PC then it might be their/their machine's fault and they don't want to bother fixing it ignoring that the ability for the end-user to fix it at all is like, massive

the reason they do the pre-order bonuses is supposedly there's some legal loophole where they can give the old games away as a free promotional bonus but if they want to sell the games directly they need to renegotiate all the licensing for plane designs/names/logos for each game
