...mussel powder really helped me with arthrose in my knee long ago - but that was just with the inflammation (and took some patience). I hope you can still work & enjoy life & it gets better. (I am 65, happily retired, and nuisances come&go & i enjoy the great days).

Probably not helpful at all, but just in case: I recently got a newsletter from great writer Tad Williams with similar bad news - not, as he pointed out, to garner pity - just to let us know why his latest tome is late: he cannot type. As I mentioned to him, too: once New Zealand green lipped ...

They're always there (everywhere they are needed) - usually the first ones, and well organized to function amidst disaster, in cooperation with the locals. One of my favorite organizations.

They're on cloud 9, relaxedly relishing, aware they have arrived at the home of their dreams - very caring, full of delights, and a tiny bit batty.

As I've been suspended from first old Twitter, later on IG, I am as uninformed about upcoming movies as I used to be before social media. But I look forward to & wil re-join Netflix once the next season of WEDNESDAY will drop (and possibly another APOTHECARY DIARY one & finish LOVE THROUGH A PRISM).

Adding how I discovered THE STRAY CATS a while ago (yes, I live under a rock - it's comfy down here) - via a wonderful NZ teen brothers&sisters band which should be known globally and deserves quite a career: RUMPUS MACHINE youtu.be/8EYHWGfIi38?...

Almost there: I'm a pensioner with a ticket I can use for almost all public transport in Germany for just around 60 Euros a month. Plus side: more autonomy.

In Boca de Aroa—a coastal community more than 100 miles west of Caracas—power is out & homes have collapsed in the wake of the earthquakes. WCK restaurant partner Masa Madre is going directly to families, delivering hot meals to one of the hardest-hit communities. #ChefsForVenezuela

Here's what WCK teams are seeing in Venezuela in the wake of Wednesday's devastating earthquakes. We're serving meals to families and first responders. Alongside trusted partners, we're moving as quickly as possible to expand our response to reach the hardest-hit areas. #ChefsForVenezuela

...choose to take them when necessary and learn to recognize the red flags and regain control of their life. I heard voices for a time back in 1998 (picking on me - not telling me to kill somone) and haven't for decades. I've never killed anyone and got my life back.

Most psychotic people do not hear voices that tell them to murder people, but voices which pick on them all the time. Lots of people commit murders without hearing voices which tell them to. If the system did not force patients to take meds all the time once they enter it, maybe more would ....

In this case, yes - but they have awful side-effects, and you have to function, and not everybody needs them all the time. In my view, they should only be applied in acute phases when the voices threaten to take over. Found a psychiatrist called Joanna Moncrieff who came to similar conclusions.

The voices are very insistent and repeat themselves over and over again, year after year. Kind of like advertising and propaganda. Even if you resist and resist, it takes its toll.

He should consult Bulgarian experts on how to turn them into perfume - easy to store for a long time, easy to transport. Or maybe rose water for perfuming desserts (for humans - but possibly goats will relish them, too).

I've thought about freeze drying ever since I read your library mercenaries trilogy. It makes a lot of sense, but: to reconstitute the food you need water, and if everything crashes, obtaining clean water will be a huge problem unless you live near a clean well/creek (=how humanity spread globally).

I wish - but I can only understand about ever fifth word, sounding like quaint old-fashioned North German, with an added tinge of Scottish and 30% totally weird stuff. Also, Germany has had the 'Deutschlandticket' for 3 years now, by now at about 60 EUR a month for unlimited public transport in..

I just learned about prediction markets. Was not aware they existed. (Maybe I should just bet on everything going wrong - so I'll be either rich or happy things turned out better than I expected? As long as the planet still exists, I could donate wins to the victims....)

The other day I got 'access denied' and with a sigh assumed I had been suspended from Bluesky, too, for breaking an obscure rule not specified to me. Turned out it was just a general bug. Today if first would not load (on laptop in Germany), then was slow, then recovered.

Red lentils are amazing - you can easily turn them into a delicious soup in any pot in under 20 minutes. Most important is a good powdered soup stock. Then add a handful of frozen veggies and maybe soup noodles. And nowadays I do not even have to check them for little stones like I used to.

I really can't draw, but my granddaughter has just discovered pencils, so I drew a very basic face (just a circle and dots and lines) for her and randomly added rabbit ears. I earned a delighted shriek, as I had obviously portrayed her beloved stuffed rabbit Bella.

I once read about one highrise in Stockholm which experiments with collecting rainwater. It's easier than seawater, which has to be transported to the building first. But I can only imagine it working for new buildings.

In contrast, I wish what's happening for real for the time being were just a computer game - or a (not very good) movie.... At least it got me into reading up on lots of (more or less real) stuff on Wikipedia (as long as we have it) to understand history better instead of getting lost in Fantasy...

This sounds great - but how to they keep the two water streams apart? Two isolated systems of pipes would be very complex and expensive. Using valuable drinking water to flush toilets is a waste - but to organize water systems differently is very difficult.

If you pronounce my name the Spanish way instead of the English one (like Beatriz), you will be much closer to the way it's pronounced in German. BTW - do you have a drum you can also sit on, or a stool you can also drum on ? (Obviously much easier on the road than complete drums)
