Had a little hermit thrush hit the wall at Doomkeep so it’s time to be a helper. It had a lot of purple poop which tells me it’s been eating fermented blackberries, so we had a BUI (bird under the influence) It’s out in the drunk tank to sober up (cardboard box under the eaves).

May I remind everyone that there is currently NO cure for rabies. May I also remind everyone there is absolutely NO scientific proof connecting ANY vaccine that we produce today with autism. This is true regarding vaccination in both humans AND in dogs. Vaccinate your pets please.

- becoming infected. A 2023 study published in the journal Vaccine found in nationally representative
sample of Americans that nearly 40% believed canine vaccines were unsafe and 37% believed that vaccines could lead their dogs to develop cognitive issues, such as autism.

Welp, this sucks. Been re-watching Community on Netflix with subtitles on. It’s clearly now AI generated crap that cuts words from the dialogue that the AI deems to be “unnecessary” for shorted read time. Also the placement of the subs is really weird and inconsistent. Ugh, “the future” is awful :(

Pupdate: After a very scary 10 days or so, Callie is recovering well. She lost almost 15% of her body weight between the diarrhea and not eating, spent 4 nights in the ICU. Some strong antibiotics finally started turning things around and she is eating well and feeling so much better.

Please send some good vibes for Callie. She’s not feeling well and hasn’t eaten for 3 days. Ultrasound, bloodwork, and other testing have all been clear. Monitoring, medicating, giving lots of pets, hoping she gets her appetite back soon :(
