So many of my students end up in spaces in health care or pet care where a dose calculation may be made and someone should be thinking "Do the numbers make sense?" Same for my Ag students who are looking at nutrient distribution per acre. Or just someone who is converting from metric to standard.

It happens in the labs I teach. The only ones where I shy away from open flame are when we are working with flammable liquids.

The value of national laboratories cannot be overstated. They truly exemplify what applied science can do and how it can be developed. I've had students complete summer programs at Fermilab and Argonne. Ames is on my short list.

I sold auto parts in college and one of the parts I really miss is chatting with folks about old hot rod builds and the cars they used to drive. Learned a lot of little tricks and interesting bits of trivia.

I was curious about why not a more modern auto, but this provides some interesting arguments about why it's a decent transmission. Personally, give me 4 on the floor. I'm a big Muncie fan myself. www.hotrod.com/features/the...

For sure! Particularly if it didn't have one to begin with, you've got to figure out where to install the sending unit, run the wire, install the gauge, etc. Good project.

Whatever could be said about that claim when he made it in 1962, it soon became undeniable that government vaccine research, distribution, and mandates are objectively among the greatest achievements of civilization. Claiming otherwise is embarrassing, it's like saying you don't wash your hands.
