I don’t know how @scottchacon.com got my address (I do), but it was really nice of him (and team) to send a @gitbutler.com shirt, stickers, and a hand signed card. They’ll go very nicely next to the Gitea stickers and mug 🍵 😻
A pale green shirt that is used as a backdrop that has “git, but better - gitbutler” on it. with a black postcard with gitbutler eritten on it, a sticker of gitbutler’s mascot holding a glass of wine, a Gitea logo sticker, and a green mug that looks like Gitea’s logo, all on top of the shirt used as a backdrop.

I don't think tech at large understands how hard it is to be an open source maintainer right now. So many great folks are on the brink of burnout. Funding is drying out. We live in a security minefield. Companies think humans are disposable. If you're a maintainer, we care. You deserve the world.

A screenshot of the "temporary interaction limits" page on github org settings describing different ways to limit interactions to kinda "snooze" actions in it. A hand-drawn Venn diagram titled “Bubbles” with four overlapping circles labeled Beanie Babies, NFTs, AI, and Dot-com. Each circle includes phrases like “Gamble on plushies,” “Gamble on JPEGs,” “Gamble on LLMs,” and “Gamble on HTML.” Overlapping areas note shared traits such as “The products tend to have cutesy first names,” “Mostly in private markets,” “Good people got hurt,” “Genuinely important underlying technology,” and “This URL could be worth millions!” The center intersection reads: “Somebody got rich, but probably not you.” The overall tone is humorous and critical of speculative tech and collectible bubbles.
