Just so you all know, something really bad and depressing happened to me today (and on the start of my Birthday Month nonetheless), and I’m going to be inactive for a bit while I process it See you when I see you

Quote with what you think would earn Walt's disapproval/confusion. given his "I'm not gonna follow pigs with pigs" quote, I really don't think he would've cared much for the theatrical WDAS sequels.

honestly, the way TLJ and The Acolyte have been treated by The Fandom Menace is honestly a huge reason why I've become so jaded when it comes to negative criticism of Disney's handling of Star Wars. that being said, here's hoping this DOESN'T get as bad as the discourse for Episodes 7-9...

This needed better marketing and release date, but I note how the animation community spends more time whining about "the lack of originals" and bullying people than actually going to see the originals they claim to want.

okay I just got back from watching Forgotten Island, and honestly, I REALLY liked it. I'm not forward to the tidal wave of bad faith comparisons to Hexed when November rolls around, but other than that I really enjoyed this movie. Arguably more than The Last Wish.

Bigfoot lives inside our hearts!!! @teagbrohman15.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

one thing that really pisses me off with this comparison is that people have been labelling Billie as an "adorkable female protagonist" with no real proof other than "vibes", but Jo & Raissa actually DO have a lot of the "adorkable female protagonist" traits, and those people aren't saying ANYTHING.

Instead of doom posting, here’s what I hope happens: A) Paramount-WB will be forced to split in the post-Trump administration B) Debt’s too much to handle that they’d have to sell one half or both C) Ellison’s get forced out so the company can have competent leadership

Given the track record, I honestly would not be surprised if the Paramount-WB merger collapses within a year due to how incompetent they are as they won't be able to make it profitable, and the other studios will be able to buy their IPs when they're forced to sell them.

after a bit more thinking, I've decided to watch Forgotten Island when it releases next week! I'm probably going to end up regretting it when Hexed releases in November and the bad faith comparisons SKYROCKET, but I will do my best to watch it IN SPITE of all that stuff.

010

Bigfoot lives inside our hearts!!! @teagbrohman15.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

just to let you all know, for the past few weeks I've been seriously thinking about skipping Forgotten Island when it releases in theatres next week don't get me wrong, the movie looks REALLY good, but the way people have been using it to attack Disney has made me less interested in seeing it

110

Bigfoot lives inside our hearts!!! @teagbrohman15.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

how much do you want to bet that their next distributor is going to be Angel Studios or something? given how a lot of the conservatives who willingly give them money because they're not "woke" or whatever LOVE defending sexual predators like John Misconduct

Yeah, if the NDP doesn’t win in this riding, I think it’ll be a pretty clear sign that Quebec as a whole is pretty much a lost cause

100

Bigfoot lives inside our hearts!!! @teagbrohman15.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Disney not even bothering to market Hexed, let alone release another trailer for it, is really not a good sign if I'm being honest they're only a hair's width away from giving up on original movies entirely, and I really don't want to see Clay get shelved the moment Hexed fails to turn a profit

Many forget how in 2018, the “CalArts style” discourse ultimately led to a shooting threat to the actual school. Several years later, people brought those exact same discussions back from the dead to find any reason to keep hating Disney and their recent animated films like Elio.

I'm glad to see more and more people are actively pushing against this kind of behavior from Animation Twitter (especially in the leadup to Forgotten Island and Hexed releasing) all these types of biased comparisons do is make people want to watch the stuff they glaze less and less

I'm all for corporate bashing, but propping up one studio to put down another isn't the way to do it. Using Forgotten Island to shit on Disney when... Dreamworks is guilty of the same shit, for example.

here's hoping we get: 1. Frozen III footage (ideally some confirmation that it will involve Norse Mythology) 2. that upcoming original WDAS movie that according to Jared Bush "has a very different style than we usually do" 3. an update on that Taika Waititi Star Wars movie 4. more MCU X-Men casts

Paramount is the worst case scenario for Warner Bros. Full stop. The Ellisons ruined a company I once loved working for. Netflix would be terrible for different reasons, but at least WB wouldn’t be under the thumb of Trump. Ideally, they stay independent, or some other buyer steps up.
