Degradation-assisted doping produced up to 100 times more mobile electrical charges in P3HT than conventional doping. The dopant breaks down after electron transfer, allowing the process to continue. doi.org/hcjrwt

Degrading dopants could boost organic semiconductor charge levels 100-fold
Organic semiconductors are carbon-based materials that can conduct electricity and can be used for flexible, lightweight and potentially low-cost electronic devices.

Really excited about this one, out @natmater.nature.com today. In a 4-fold, truly collaborative effort across provinces, we were able to solve the mystery how Lewis acids achieve very high p-doping levels in conjugated materials despite their relatively low electron affinities. #chemsky #pisky

Sooo, now both @rsc.org and @pubs.acs.org have decided that human researchers won’t read their website anyway, since AI is mining the data and there’s much less not much funding left anywhere anyway, so there’s no need for TOC pictures…What a friggin gong show!

I have to say, I was really looking forward to the @rsc.org publication refresh, but I must confess I am not keen. We can't see the graphical abstract, and extra clicks are required to access what we want to see. It would have been nice to show it to readers before committing.

They did it! @rsc.org has successfully “optimized” their journal websites to a new and improved 1998 state - extra clicks, slow server response, and TOC figures hidden so deeply in the weeds that it’s impossible to scan the latest papers. It feels like no scientists were involved in the process…
