After only 10 years, I may be making friends at work. They're all in at least 2 of the queer / ND / disability networks. (My colleagues are fine, but the ones I was really friends with left & I am bad at people. Also have not worked out how to deal with promotions etc.)

Just had a conversation with someone a year ahead of me on this course, & god, it's so reassuring to have a third party say "wow, (institution) really don't understand reasonable adjustments, do they?!"

(I find this accidental total lack of key information unreasonably funny.)

(Why do inside pockets bring me so much joy? No idea, but they do, & I haven't had a jacket with inside pockets for aaaages. Also this jacket is purple & has a dinosaur on the back, so it's generally a pretty joyful jacket.)

(I feel I should acknowledge that I have focused on one hugely irritating thing in 19 pages of sometimes actually quite complimentary stuff. Just, ugh. Why do I have to expend all this effort on Emoting Properly? Also describing me with "her word is her bond" gives me the ick, I don't know why.)

Very confused looking at my time sheet this evening, as it said I only worked 8h05, which is not much longer than a normal day. Then I realised that was the "afternoon". (I worked a 12 hour day. Thank god this is not the norm, I would DIE.)
