When I go into a fresh playthrough of #Fallout4 with a specific direction I want to take the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. and perks for at least the first 50 levels. Then some legendary equip drops that makes me rethink which of those perks could be delayed for something with better synergy with that equip.

In seriousness I think the remake’s suffering from an issue seen in other remakes, where the creators feel like *everything* must be redesigned and made fancy to justify the project, even if it’s not an improvement. It’s the kind of attitude that makes things overly detailed and extraneous.

Only death would have prevented this inevitability. Not even that if there are videogames in the afterlife. My pastime of watching reactions to Reggie videos has led me to reinstalling #Fallout4. Not that it matters to hardly anyone besides less than five people because I don’t stream.

There's always going to be haters & those who judge what you cherish. At times it can be hard to express what's deep inside when there are those who can only criticize based on a brief external glance. Even so, I think it's important to be sincere about things that bring you joy.

Since I think it's been online on YouTube long enough and I don't think I'm gonna get more than the $5-6 from it from the last few years of views, and the fact there's longer uploads here on Bluesky now, here's the entirety of my short film 'Snif & Snüf'. Watch and enjoy!

As much as I grouse about pacing in serialised online media, I truly believe webcomics that have been updating once a week like clockwork since 2004 and are only now beginning to advance the plot they've spent the last two decades laboriously setting up are a vital part of the creative ecosystem.

This is a "Christian Baby" level take that manages to completely ignore the ACTUAL issue most artists have with generative AI. It has pretty much nothing to do with copyright and EVERYTHING to do with our labour being stolen and sold for profit. Copyright is just our only recourse of defense.

I wish my health was better. If it were I could offer, like, chibi commissions for confirmation of giving blood. Maybe some day I’ll have made a game worthy of putting in a pack of games whose proceeds go towards blood drive agencies. I think that would be cool as fuck.

Happy Caturday 🐈‍⬛🤍

A two-panel comic featuring a black cat.

In the first panel, the cat stares at the viewer with an unimpressed expression against a dreamy blue summer sky. The text reads: “It’s August, and some people might feel a little sad because summer will be over soon.”

In the second panel, the same cat is now wearing a large purple witch hat and smiling with closed eyes. The text reads: “Not. My. Problem.”

Yeah. I. Hope that both Steam and Itch give the option to just filter out all AI from search results because this is just. I just want to look at various games, and not have to deal with this shit? Just let me filter it out at a settings level! Stop making me jump through hoops! Itch doesn't even++

The MegaTokyo forums have been taken down as they were bogging down the whole site. We're not yet sure if they'll be back; they were pretty dead already. We're thinking of maybe a read-only site with the new and old forums for historical interest. The MT forums were a major thing, back in the day.

I understand better now where Fallout: New Vegas fans are coming from. I don’t disagree, but I didn’t fall in love with the Mojave remotely as much as with the Commonwealth of Fallout 4. With AAA being what it is, I shall be watching Fallout 5 developments with caution. youtu.be/K7_iyLlg5go?...

Strictly speaking "ultimate" means "last", not "best". It's often figuratively used in the latter sense to imply the described thing is the final word on the subject, but if we're being real technical, calling a game or movie that's so bad it killed its whole franchise "ultimate" is in fact correct.
