The redeeming factor is that, in Parasite Eve, the gameplay is so silly and fun that it still feels enjoyable — especially since its a final sprint and not a significant stretch of the game. There is not much silly and fun in II's battle system IMO so I feel like existentially it has to avoid that

I am interested in seeing what the end game is like. Parasite Eve is funny in that the game completely breaks in the late stages because you get OP but then also surprise, the enemies are OP too. So there the systems kind of fall apart and you're just trying to produce the better comical result.

Decided to give Parasite Eve II a third try in account of .45 Parabellum Bloodhound claiming to be releasing this year, since it feels like once that game is out it will claim its place as Parasite Eve: The Second and I will never consider Parasite Eve II again. It's alright.
